Reporting Work From Home Scams
Special Note: It goes without saying – Work From Home Identity Theft is a real threat.
Keep your personal information protected! Do not send vital information by e-mail. Make sure that this information is sent through a secured server. You can confirm this by seeing a little padlock in your browser. In addition, the website should read https:// – the s indicating secured browsing.
Do not give out social security numbers, addresses, birth dates, and other vital information until you know you are dealing with a legitimate company!
Reporting Work From Home Scams
If you have already been scammed – I truly sympathize. Immediately take the following three actions to get justice:
- Report it to me so I can post about it on my Work At Home Scams Shame List Blog
- Report it to The Better Business Bureau ()
- Report it to the Federal Trade Commission ()
